My Profile

Samantha is a patient and nurturing teacher who sympathises with her student’s struggles in learning the instrument. She is willing to explore different teaching methods to help her students achieve their full potential. With over 4 years of teaching experience, Samantha is flexible in her teaching and adaptable to the differing pace of each student when conducting individual lessons. She uses different teaching materials for students of different personality groups to better engage the students. Samantha has the experience of teaching students from as young as aged 3+ to working adults aged 50+ and is well-liked by children, well-trusted by parents. Her passion for teaching stems from the joy she feels from helping others and would do her best to help her students.

Samantha is currently studying in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) University of the Arts (UAS) as a Year 3 student in Music Teaching (Piano). Samantha has taken an unconventional path as compared to her peers and has decided to pursue her passion in music, pursuing music teaching as a career. Samantha teaches in hopes to inspire more people to love music like she does. She feels accomplished and gains satisfaction from seeing the growth of her students and is glad to be part of their musical journey.

Besides being a pianist, Samantha is also a cellist who has experience playing in orchestras and ensembles. She was involved in orchestral performances for 10 years during her previous education days, being in a Chinese Orchestra for 4 years and String Ensemble for 6 years. Together, they never failed to achieve a Distinction in the renowned biannual Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) competitions.
